An Upgrade for Reforestation Project
Feb 18, 12
When the Reforestation Project first started their work, they exclusively used just a machete (long knife) to cut grass. As one can imagine this is seriously a tedious and long process. Yet these strong women plodded on without complaining.
As the work for their Project grew an investment was made for powered grass cutters to ease the burden of their work and also increase the rate of weeding progress.
However, the Team is careful not to use it in areas that are especially close to orang-utan populations as they do not want to alarm them, so old fashion weeding still occurs in certain plots.
